That's rough and has to suck to tear your ACL during OTA's. Especially when he really started to come on last season and play a big role in their offense. Good thing for them they already picked up Boldin but it still hurts them and will affect the role they had intended to use Boldin in.

This is all leading up to Randy Moss coming back.

Jenkins and patton outside, boldin in the slot... backups are Williams, hall, locket, moore... plus they added McDonald at te... so they should be fine

It's not his ACL, it's his achilles. It's a worse injury in some respects.

Mario Manningham needs to step up as the #2.

They drafted Jenkins last year in the 1st round. It will be his time to step up and show what he has.

They already tried Edwards a couple years ago and that didn't work out. Evans is also done or he would've made a team last year and didn't do anything his year in Baltimore either. They wouldn't be anymore then depth who would maybe catch 20 passes a year at this point in their career.

Evans sure faded away fast. He look promising after his first few seasons but was a one trick pony. He was more suited to stretch the field in the slot, etc, but he was put in a #1 role for years and it didn't last. Once he lost any type of a step then even that one trick was severed.
