The Sabres could have had him! he would have been a perfect coach and a perfect fit for this team and there would no rebuilding. but we have an incopitent GM that waits until the trade deadline to make trades but makes fast hires for head coaches by hiring Rolston THANKS ALOT DARCY YOU SHOUD BE FIRED!

darcy traded our dead weight to vancouver and vigneult wasn't able to get those guys to perform any better. i don't necessarily want that lindy ruff type coach either.

i would rather be a 11 win hockey team with new GM and new coach with an attitude to leave it all on the ice.

i have no idea how buffalo sports has just gotten synomous with "bore you to death". i remember as a kid being interested in the SABRES game regardless of who they were doing. Now i'd prefer to watch other hockey games when the sabres suck because i just want to see two teams who kind of care to be there and have a mild desire to win the game.

Yeah, pretty sure that's true for almost every sports team ever. The only exception might be the original Dream Team from '92.

Sorry. I watched NFL football in the 1970s when the Cowboys, Steelers, Dolphins, Raiders, etc could lose their top guys and still keep on ticking. I remeber guys like Terry Hanratty and Clint Longley even George Blanda when he was well past his prime proving so. I also remember watching the Sabres without Perreault, Martin, and either Desjardins or Don Edwards winning games. The Canucks would just be a bad team.

Well I'm too young to know much about those teams, but it's a lot different now because of the salary cap and free agency. Teams just aren't that deep, and if they are, it's only for a couple of seasons before they get into cap trouble and other teams pick off their FA's. I can't think of any team in a salary cap league that would still be successful if the 3 top guys go down. Most teams can get completely hosed by one injury to a star.
