Amazing how few guys on the roster came from UFA. Seeing it that way makes me feel like we're one more good draft away from having a solid core of talent for the foreseeable future.

Agreed! I like that we stay away from the free agent frenzy. Build through the Draft!

That hasn't worked out so well...

I think were on the right path. Free agent route hardly ever works.

It can help, if you don't dump bucket loads of cash on "name" players. Looking at the chart, CIN got numerous starters - a center, 3 corner backs, a safety, 2 linebackers, a kicker, a RB, a FB, a decent back-up tackle/guard, and a DE with 5.5 sacks last season. One of the linebackers was Manny Lawson, now a Bill.

So we are cutting Da'Rick Rogers according to this?

A new poster with a positive slant... as needed as sun in Seattle. Welcome, Fanatic.

You can fill a few holes in FA, but if you go overboard, you get Eagles, Jets, Fins (after next season). It is not sustainable to assemble a team with an abundance of FAs.

I think your right. Next year, I think we will go CB, TE, OL, LB, S, CB, OL and ? Not necessarily in that order but maybe something like that. By the way you can't cut Da' Rick Rogers. Someone else has to go first. We need his depth and long ball threat!

Still no rogers. Please be over the weed Rogers. You can play this game for a few years and smoke all you want after you retire in your 30s.

How could Rogers beat out either the dynamic, versatile Brad Smith or the super-productive Marcus Easley for a roster spot?

I don't think the poster is up on all the UDFAs for the different teams he made these charts for.
