Kings Cartoons: Jairus Byrds Day Off

I took a bit of a different approach to this one. I hope you like it.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

That's the new approach... jk. I am not sure why you're not seeing it. I just checked it from my phone and it's working.

You spelled his first name wrong. It's Jairus.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

An oft missed line from FBDO...

                    Ferris: Do you speak English?
Garage guy: Uh, what country do you think this is?

Garage guy was played by Richard Edson who was the original drummer for Sonic Youth.

Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.

                        Don't push your luck. ;-)

Good all around effort. Your best one yet IMHO.

Not for nothing, but I think that Byrd is probably working out and preparing for the season on his own. He's a very good player, but this is his showcase year...he can't afford to kick back if he wants to get a big contract after (or during) this year. He tweeted this:

im Jairus byrd and i'm a member of the buffalo bills.. i Love jesus!!!...Get at me!!!

                          In Gods hands
I don't think the new defensive scheme is going to ask him to do anything he hasn't done before. It's not unusual for these franchised guys to not show up for a while.
