On the topic of deceased players...

Damien Covington was murdered almost 11 years ago.

Would have been 41 this year.

Always liked him as a player even though he probably didn't live up to his third round draft billing.

Randall Cunningham went back to unlv to finish his degree in film, started a Christian record label, lost a 2 year old daughter to a hot tub drowning, coached some high school football, and became an ordained protestant minister.

Leon Seals. I have a coffee mug signed from the 90's Bills team and I always notice his Dr. Sack signature on there. Great player, too bad he's a cop now. Maybe we can call him Dr. Ticket now?

Paul Seymour, TE, was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1978 netting the Bills one of the best WRs ever to wear the red, white, and blue... Frank Lewis.

However:

In August 1978 the Bills traded Seymour to the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.billszone.com/wiki/Pittsburgh_Steelers) in exchange for wide receiver Frank Lewis (http://www.billszone.com/wiki/Frank_Lewis_(football)). However, Seymour failed to pass the Steelers physical when they discovered that he had undergone surgery on his arches.[1] (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/#cite_note-1) Seymour was returned to the Bills, but he never played another NFL game.

Seymour now resides in Okemos, Michigan.

My favorite player signed a Bide-a-Wee scorecard from my cousin while I was passed out drunk. He or one of his personalities play for the Cowboys now.

Poz has a signed picture at my work desk with my mom when he visited her at work and a year removed from giving my sisters foundation support.

I still have a Coy Wire jersey, and he still has a tramp stamp.

John DiGiorgio teaches kids at some school. Ashton Youboty's neck is still unreal long.

I interviewed for a Heath Insurance job almost a decade ago in downtown Buffalo and one of the nameplates for office read Eric Smedley. I assume it was the former Bill but never got the job to ask.

If Murky ever was facemasked or horse-collared I think we would have seen terrible results. That neck was entirely too long.

Too bad.

If you got hired you could have ran into his office and yelled, "THIS OFFICE JOB IS WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT STAYING IN YOUR FRIGGIN' LANE ON KICKOFFS!!!"

The Music City Miracle still bothers me after all these years.

Jim Ritcher won the Outland Trophy at NC State, was selected in Round 1 by the Bills and started here for 14 years. Played another 2 years with Atlanta.

Coaches lay awake at night dreaming of draft picks like him. He immediately started flying planes as a commercial pilot for American Airlines after he retired.

Tiny Tim is now selling pizzas full time and singing some of the worst ever music the world has ever heard. Travis Henry is currently seeking to break Louis XIV's record for bastard children, and JP Losman, Tr-Int Edwards, Rob Johnson, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Kelly Holcomb are all arguing about who is the most lame qb we've had since 1996. Oh, and speaking of **** qbs, Billy Joe Hobert recently got divorced because he didn't read his prenuptual agreement.

ONLY 6 years? The average NFL career is just over 3 years so Leon played twice as long as the average NFL player.
