Marrone quickly responded in a way that makes it clear that Pettine and he are clear that killing or hurting players is not what is being preached up at OBD. But that isn't enough to appease the blood hounds. Let's not forget that no money is involved here.
It's friggin football. Go out there and "hit"... oops that sounds mean... go out there and use mean words... Ridiculous.
The line is at bounty. Not the concept of hitting someone LEGALLY as hard as you can.
Furthermore, PFT goes on and shows their stupidity... So apparently you can't make safety a priority if something is inherently unsafe... interesting.
IMO, we are not over the line by going out and legally hitting as hard as we can. If it's a legal hit and as hard as you can it's football. It can on occasion cause injury but rarely if ever death and the intent is to play the game within the bounds of the rules at the highest possible intensity.
