New third jersey coming in a couple of days, weeks, months

The Buffalo Sabres will be releasing a third jersey this year.
Team President Ted Black mentioned that it will be revealed this summer, which means we could see it anytime from the draft on out. With the Buffalo Sabres hosting a draft party – they could choose to release the sweater then, or more likely as training camp roles around, which is their norm.
What will the sweater look like? It will most likely be a darker uniform, sporting the blue color. Black revealed on WGR550 that it will not be a throwback, but will feature the teams iconic and beloved logo, which has been brought back although slightly redesigned.

I figured it out! just by looking at my Sabres HOME Pat Lafontaine jersey from 1991 and the Winter Classic jersey if you rotate the image 180 degrees you will see that it's a shoulder has a yoke design just like the old Sabres home jerseys had since 1996 the only difference is the jersey is mustard yellow instead of white and from the teaser video it looks like it will have BUFFALO on the front with the updated crest that the Sabres have on the home and away jerseys now.

That most recent puzzle piece would seem to debunk that. I don't know what else that large area of blue could be, other than a sleeve, and we've pretty much seen the sleeves in bits and pieces.

These are AWESOME! hope they are on the replica jerseys when the third jerseys hit the store racks at the Sabres store inside FNC or shop.nhl.com. Kind of reminds me of the shoulder patch that was on the "goathead" with the "B" with the Sabre sword going through it on the shoulder...I just loved that logo actually I was hoping that it would be the logo instead of the "slug"

If we were just jonesing for the team to play in oct because of a good campaign last year, this marketing endevour would be awesome. But no one in their right mind is particularly interested in the team with the Bills actually showing signs of "getting it" and "doing the right thing". the sabres have become the bills with stale ideas and jamming round pegs into square holes.

the real PR play would be to get a bunch of the young guys together in the new 3rd jerseys, go over to the kids ward at Roswell park and have them spend a day with the kids, give out some jerseys, raise a little money and leave.

There is no goodwill between the sabres and the community right now and seemingly trying to gouge us for another jersey just doesn't sit well.

I totally get where you're coming from, and I can see where it looks like they're just trying to be "good enough to get into the playoffs..." but I really don't think that's in Terry P's DNA.

Regarding the loser Regier, I think he's the beneficiary of Pegula's stubborn streak. Pegula just doesn't seem like the type of guy who's going to let the fans and especially the media tell him what to do, so instead of cleaning house, he split the baby in half and fired Ruff.

Obviously, Terry underestimated how difficult it is to build a Cup winner, but I think it's way too soon to turn the page on him, and really too soon to think he's the type of guy who's just happy to participate.

I think he's got a plan, and none of us really know what it is, but I'm still glad he's here and I'm very happy that he's fixing up the neighborhood.

In any case, I really don't think the Sabres have a P.R. problem with the general public. Just us hypercritical message board types. And we're a timy fraction of the ticket and merch buying public. And you know as well as I do that we'll continue to buy that ****, regardless.
