JUL 11 (morning)--One afternoon this past spring, Shawn Barber was in the Chiefs workout facility at the Truman Sports Complex. Barber had a question for Carl Peterson and being a take-charge guy, he picked up the phone and called the president-general manager's office at Arrowhead Stadium.
Barber was put on hold as Peterson's secretary Georgeann Hemry went to alert her boss that his new linebacker needed to talk. Barber waited, and waited, and waited. On the Chiefs phone system, was a highlight tape from last season....
