No matter who said otherwise—at first the Philadelphia Flyers, then his agent—Ilya Bryzgalov always seemed guaranteed for a buyout. Math is math, and the salary cap is the salary cap, and Philly is Philly, and Bryz is Bryz. On Tuesday, that came to pass. The Flyers announced that they're using their second and final cap compliance/amnesty buyout on the goaltender, which means that his $5.667 salary cap hit comes off the books in exchange for two-thirds of his remaining contract spread over double the term.

hmmm Miller in Philadelphia? there's no way that the Sabres would trade him inside the division... or would they? the Sabres could ask for ransom from the Flyers like say draft choices, prospects, player(s) like say Hartnell, Courtier, Giroux, Gagne etc.

I'm sure you can have all the Gagne you can handle. As for the others I don't think there is a chance. Well maybe coutourier. Also Holmgren said that he couldn't see Luongo there so that is one less goalie going to philly.

the rotate 3 backups as starters for most of the season.

Also, Philly isnt in our division.

Philly will no longer be in the division with Buffalo when the realignment takes place. I think the sides will definitely talk.
