Largest buyout ever at $30+ million!

For as much as I hated Yzerman's decision to trade Conacher, I have to applaud this move. Vinny is a Dion Phaneuf type weight on a franchise. Until you shed that weight, you can't advance... even if that means a step back initially.

They have 14 years to pay it back..

Plus he's going to get a contract for at least 4 mill per.

Life is good for Vinny...

My bet is he ends up in Toronto.

That's another possibility... but I don't see the Leafs paying Tyler Bozak what he wants.

that leaves a pretty big hole down the middle for them...

If the Leafs are going to pay $4-5 million for a pivot man... I see them going with Vinny.

Vinny's name is too French not to go to Canada, he'd sell more jerseys than anyone.

 That puts the Flyers back over the cap after temporarily digging their way out with buyouts to Danny Briere and Ilya Bryzgalov. Their improvement to one of the worst defenses in the league is an aging Mark Streit, and their starting goalie is Steve Mason, who was bad for three years before Philly acquired him at the trade deadline. Also, Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Brayden Schenn need new contracts after next season.
