Roy, 30, had seven goals and 21 assists over 42 games; Vancouver trade for him in the hopes that he'd shore up their second line, but that didn't exactly go according to plan. Dallas acquired him for Steve Ott in the offseason. St. Louis is hoping that he reverts to the player that put up 81-, 70- and 69-points for the Sabres from 2007-10. Their risk is minimal—$4 million, according to multiple reports. Considering that they had a little less than $12 million in salary cap space when Saturday began, that's no problem. http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2013-07-06/derek-roy-blues-nhl-free-agency-stephen-weiss-red-wings-valtteri-filppula

How many more teams does this guy bounce to until people realize he isn't that good?

I think Roy will be the Jason Collins of the NHL.

I remember shortly after he signed his 4 year 16 million dollar deal how everyone was saying it was a great deal and a huge bargain for us. How when his contract was up he would be getting a huge raise seeing how salaries were going.
