Jaromir Jagr (http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/player/35/jaromir-jagr) has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Jersey Devils (http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/team/11/new-jersey-devils), according to ESPN.com’s Pierre LeBrun (https://twitter.com/Real_ESPNLeBrun/status/359329077045366785). The Devils will be the 41-year-old forward’s fourth team in three seasons. The deal is expected to be made official on Tuesday.
New Jersey will be hoping that the veteran forward can replace some of the playmaking the team lost when Ilya Kovalchuk decided to retire from the NHL to head home to Russia (http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2013-07-11/ilya-kovlchuk-retirement-trade-nj-devils-atlanta-thrashers%20) to play in the Kontinental Hockey League. http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2013-07-22/jaromir-jagr-devils-ilya-kovalchuk-retirement-penguins-flyers-rangers
