    8/2 Camp Notes

    Ralph Wilson was at the facility today.



    • Manuel worked with the 1st offense again and reports are that he's looked better than Kolb for 3 straight practices.
    • EJ hit a 4th and 8 conversion for a deep TD to Goodwin. Marrone is "very pleased" with Manuels progress
    • Alonso worked with the first team today and was being praised by Marrone for "doing everything"
    • Mario is getting closer
    • Stevie tweaked his hammy.
    • Whaley calls Manuel the face of the franchise.
    I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
    "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
    You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all     true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
    He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can     mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

      I can't see the player that the GM is calling the "face of the franchise" being the backup QB. I think that they are very pleased with the way Manuel is grasping things at camp and I can't imagine him not being the #1 QB when the season starts. GO BILLS

        If I was to live to be 94, I hope that I'll look as good, the man is 94 years old, not 54.

          I was expecting Kolb to look better in TC, but if the reports of him struggling are accurate, then there's really no upside to starting him over EJ.

              I understand Kolb had his best day so far today, but so far nothing we've seen from Manuel says he should sit at the start of the season.
              I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

              I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

                I don't think Goodell looks THAT bad.
                Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

                              He'll get respect when he earns it. The guy did one great thing: brought a team to Buffalo. Then he proceeded to give fans a ****ty product for roughly 40 of the next 53 seasons. Simply having a team is not worthy of respect on its own.
