First depth chart released and Da'Rick is buried...

Brad Smith is not in the top 4 either at WR. Brown and Legursky co-starters.

    Hughes backing up Williams

    Kiko is a starter

Kolb and Manuel listed as co-starters as well

Byrd listed as the starting FS with Aaron Williams listed as the starting SS. Searcy and Duke Williams are backup FS?

IDK, I mean I'd like someone who can thump at SS for run support.

Nevermind. I cracked the code. Players in parentheses are currently injured. Kolb, Stevie, Legursky, all are in that category. So there hasn't been starters named outright at those spots yet.

          CJ Isnt playing either.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Lack of depth at linebacker is scary.

This raises a lot of questions. Why are they listing a 4-3? Why did they move Mario back to right end? Why is the defense lining up offside, behind the offensive backfield?

              Questions questions questions!

it's not really a traditional 43 and more so a one gap 34. Mario is the rush end/elephant position. Lawson can be on the line or off and gives the offense a confusing scheme because he can play off, the 5, 7 or 9.... so, they can be a 52, 34, 43, 2-5 if dowtin is in, etc. pettine wants to give offenses as many looks as possible so they don't know where the pressure is coming from....

I think the WR depth is based solely on seniority. All the undrafted rookies from this year are at the bottom. I think that's all it is.

It's pertine's new scheme designed to get a sack each and every time.

Rogers being buried doesn't shock me. While he seems to have had more good plays than bad, the fact that he's had mental errors is a huge issue. The one time he apparently was supposed to be on the field, but sat there just staring for a long time. That's unacceptable, especially for an offense that seems to want to run a lot of plays quickly. I'm sure he'll move up if he can clean that stuff up.
