...that Kolb gets cut and the Bills carry two rookies? From all accounts Tuel is quietly having a great camp. Especially running with the twos in Ginger's absence. Thoughts?
What are the chances?...

Re: What are the chances?...
Can't see a scenario where Kolb isn't at least a backup, but Bills won't risk having Tuel on practice squad b/c another team could snag him if a claim is made and he is not on 53 man. I think they carry 3 for at least this year, and release Kolb next year and Tuel be #2 in a perfect world

Re: What are the chances?...
If Tuel continues to play well AND we get a good feel for a few of they young WR's then we may just keep 3 QB's and cut Brad Smith. Even with 3 QB's not named Smith, I still see us keeping 7 WR's. I think you almost have to keep a veteran QB on board this year.

Re: What are the chances?...
Kolb sucks but I don't see him being released this year and going with just rookie QB's. Even if he is the backup they would still want more then just rookies at that position.
He is more fit for a backup role since he's not a very good starter to begin with and he can't stay healthy. If the starter goes down for several weeks then Kolb will be limping his way to the IR right about the time the starting QB is coming back.

Re: What are the chances?...
Minimal and I don't think its really a big concern cutting Tuel. Even if we stash him on the PS and somebody makes a claim we still retain the right to match and keep him.
Not a huge market out there for UDFA QB's.COMING SOON...

Marrone has said Kolb is fine & it is just a question of how much he plays Sunday, if at all.
