Week 3 @ NWJ Will Be the Key to Our Season

The Jets are a very troubled team. They look like easy prey right now.

The Pats are going to beat us in the Opener and Panthers ended last season on a 4 game winning streak. The Panthers seem to be typically ranked in the top 12 in rankings thus far this season. There is a lot of hate for Cam Newton, but the truth is that most of us would give our left nut to have him as the Bills QB.

Given the newness of our coaching staff and systems, I see those first two games as losses.

That next game in NY is crucial.

If we stop the losing streak and beat the Jets, I think we may find ourselves looking at a 5-11 or 6-10 season rather than a 2-14 or 3-13 season.

If we don't win that game, we could be 0-6 or 0-7 before we know it.

At that stage, it is a lost season and it spirals.

    Thoughts?

I don't see us having a good season but I would bet on more then 2 or 3 wins whether we lose to the Jets or not. If I was a betting guy I would say 5-6 wins. Maybe 4 wins at the worse and 7 wins in the best case scenario. We would have to have a couple fortunate wins to get to that many though or some unfortunate key injuries to some of our few good players to only win a couple games.

If we don't beat the Jets we will go 0-16.

Well end up drafting a bust 1st overall and Ralph will live til he's 200.

            Look at the schedule again.

The Chiefs are not what they were last year.

            The Browns are building.

The Jags are a coin flip.

I pray the Jets suck as much as we think they do.

It would need to be an incredible success by a new coaching staff for this team to win 6 games. Perhaps Manuel lights the world on fire.

I expect that by week 6 we will all be cursing Buddy's name for leaving this team with such poor talent.

Retirement may not be enough for him. He should consider a witness protection gig.

I would say there is a better chance at beating the Pats than the Panthers.

I haven't seen this team play in a real game yet, so I'm not tossing out numbers. Speculation is all we really have to look forward to right?

Yeah. The odd of the Bills beating the Pats are 100-1 and the Cats are 101-1.

I hope we loose out so we can draft the top quarterback.

6-10 regardless of who we beat or who beats us. Yeah Even if it appears as though we've lost every game to the naked eye. We'll still end up with a 6 to 7 win record. Hey guy, it's Buffalo.

                            right?

predicting this season is an exercise in futility. look at the seahawks last season, or the bengals the season before.

a rookie can come in and win in the league right now, why not us? we're loaded on d, have the best running backs in the league, a good wide out, some rookie receivers who MAY pan out, and a qb who's shoulders the season is riding on.

people saying "oh, well, i see us going 2-14". ok, congrats. i see us going 12-4. what difference does it make. have some fun.

Maybe you would, but Newton's numbers aren't that much better than Fitzy's the last two years, if they are better at all.

Att Comp Yards Pct TD Int
                              Cam Newton: 1002/590 7920 59 40/29

                              Ryan Fitzpat: 1074/659 7132 61.5 48/39

The difference is rushing yardage, but shouldn't Newton's ability to run give him an advantage in the Passing department? Defenses have to account for him.

With those numbers and a similar record (although that's a team stat) why would you give away something as precious as your left nut, let alone assume that most other fans would do the same. You are the Cam Fanboy, so don't include others in your delusion that he is some kind of great QB.
