In my opinion the QB competition is over

Kolb did not have a great game. He was inaccurate way too often, made some bad choices, and the offense sputtered.

EJ came out crisp, decisive, and had real nice pocket presence. The offense seemed to come alive when he was running it. I feel like I trust EJ at QB more than Kolb at this point. It's weird but I feel like the rookie is less likely to make mistakes than the vet. And that EJ is more likely to keep the chains moving and make nice throws for TD's.

Kolb needed to play at least as well as EJ and he simply didn't.

And if you feel better about EJ as your starter, you should just make the decision and get going on prepping him as the starter for the season.

I thought Kolb would win the job, but it should be obvious to everyone, EJ is the man & the Bills starting QB for the next decade or more.

I think EJ starts preseason game 3.

I'd think so too unless Marrone wants to equal out rep's or something or give Kolb a 2nd chance to show he can be the guy.

Personally I hope Marrone steps up this week and names EJ the starter for the team. If he does, I'd give EJ the start in the next game for the first quarter and a half or even half the game.

Not in my opinion. EJ has yet to throw an INT and has thrown 2 TD's and maoved the chains effectively. Kolb has had lot's of tipped balls, thrown an INT and has not thrown a TD. EJ has had a 102.7 and 126.4 QB rating while Kolb's is 55.9.

If he meant that they both started slowly in their first action, OK I can see that. But EJ has been stronger overall.

I'm fine with that. Just give EJ the start for the 3rd preseason game so he can continue to get the work with the 1's that he will need for the season.

Well, the starting QB usually starts the 3rd preseason game.

If EJ comes out the tunnel to start that game, I think the decision has been made.

Maybe it's semantics. But I don't care that much whether they officially announce EJ as the starter this week... I think they should, but I don't care. But, what I do want to see is EJ get the rep's and the start in the next preseason game to get prepped for the season.
