Best wishes to a class act.
I could care less what others think...next to Christie, he was our best kicker for a very long time. He was great signing, back in the day.Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit

Re: lindell released
His time has come and gone, he was some nice stability during a time that we really lacked it. Hopkins looks good though.COMING SOON...

Re: lindell released
Our whole kicking game is now in the hands (and feet) of Florida State Seminoles. Long snapper Sanborn, punter (and holder) Powell and kicker Hopkins.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

He has had a steady decline for years.
Nowhere near as good as Christie or Norwood.

Re: lindell released
Does this mean we won't be punting from inside the 40 any more?
He seemed like a good guy....but I still hate him because of that 49ers game in '08.Last edited by ThunderGun; 08-19-2013, 08:25 AM.

Re: lindell released
Not much of a surprise.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
