    Brady and Patriots offense struggles

Tom Brady and the Patriots offense struggles when pressured by Detroits defense. Brady with one pick and no TDs http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...-a-rough-night.

But we will lose big to the Pats on our way to a 2 win season... so I've been instructed by our resident savants for several months.

Stop offering any hope. This is a realist message board.

All qb's struggle when pressured. Nothing new there. I expect we will bring the heat in the opener and that's fine with me. I'm sick of watching the slow death of Brady picking apart our defenses with the rush 3 drop 8. Bring the house and maybe we can knock him out of the game or get some turnovers.

Patriots will go 1-15! Woo hoo! Then they can draft a replacement for Brady!

            Hmmm.....

When the Bills offense struggles in pre-season, we are constantly reminded of how bad Jim Kelly's offense was in preseason before tearing it up in the regular season.

Funny how no one brings that up now.....

No, it's not.... It's a homer message board where any hint of realism is argued to death.

This is preseason. Preseason. The Pats are an established team. We've been hearing about their death for a decade now and it hasn't happened, yet people still get excited because they struggled in one preseason game. Please.

Funny how you used to keep reminding us that preseason means something. Now that we're winning you don't bring that up now. You have been MIA after a win lately.

Well we've only had two preseason games and on the second one, I didn't get to watch it until almost two days later because I had to wait for the NFLN replay. It's a little hard to comment on a game I hadn't seen yet....

We averaged like 1 win a preseason during that time, it just doesn't matter. The 4-0 preseason to 0-16 regular season Lions is a great example.

Re: Brady and Patriots offense struggles

kelly's preseason was an established set of guys who didn't really need it. the pats have brady, but they don't have welker open across the middle to give him a dump off. the chemistry to the other WR isn't there yet. the longer they take to gel in the preseason and regular season, the more chances they lose.

they have very little footage (in the literal sense of course) on Marrone and Hackett. They may be able to infer a good amount of the pettine defense, but they lost to the jets the most of the teams in the east. so i think the patriots need these games more than an established team.

I would agree if welker was there that this means nothing. patriots are awaiting to get slapped around. did you see the highlight of the lions player sticking his finger in brady's grill and brady crying to officials? hopefully we have some more of that in week 1.

So they can draft Manziel or Jadaveon Clowney? No thanks.

Preseason never matters if the Bills are good. Only if they are bad.

Never said that or anything like it.

But we aren't talking about the Bills here. We are talking about a QB who has shredded the league for the last 10 years or so. Struggling in one preseason game doesn't automatically mean he will struggle in the regular season.

I think both those examples are anomalys. Even in preseason a team with more talent should win more than not.
