            What was the other option? Signing Beck, who can't even score a point in two games against the Bills, of all teams?

              Personally, I'm not going to be too upset about the Bills signing somebody that probably won't ever see a regular season snap.

                  I don't think it is too crazy to suggest he might be the opening day starter. Hopefully Manuel is good to go.

                    would have signed leftwich, but it doesn't really matter.... word is leinart might start, so hopefully he can get up to speed fast

                      I don't know what people expect, we have 1 QB right now, so someone had to be brought in and there may be 4-5 veteran FA QB's out there to choose from. Unfortunately Payton Manning wasn't available. Leinart may only be here for 1 preseason game and who knows he may turn out to be a better option than Kolb who has been a disappointment. EJ Manuel will be the starting QB for the Bills.

                        interesting factoid - the Bills have now signed 4 of the top 10 2006 Draft Picks ... #1 Mario W, #3 VY, #8 Donte W, #10 Matt L ...and Whitner may have been the best of all of them
