This one bothers me more than the qb situation. The CBs on this roster past Gilmore are just awful. Wonder if any free agents are out there worth a flyer or if any cbs may be on the trade block. I dont like taking other teams 2nds but a lot of teams 2nds and even 3rds are better than what we have.

Ouch. This is the first injury that really stings. I'd spend some of that 29 mill in cap room on a legit vet that gets cut or is already out there. Brooks/Rogers is a scary situation as our #2 CB.

Hopefully it's 6 weeks and that it means 5 games.

Best thing about Gilmore was that he seemed to be a good tackler, his cover skills were only average at the moment, dude is a walking pass interference flag at this point still. THat end zone play against Washington really was PI penalty, and he led the entire NFL in PI penalties and overall penalties last year. Not saying I don't like him and his potential, but he has a lot to learn still. This is not a backbreaker.

probably the only option... our cbs are mcklovin, brooks, butler, robey, rogers... that's not bad, but losing Gilmore is tough, but we can survive until week 8
