    NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports...

Rapoport has been told that Manuel is still on track to start Week 1, meaning Tuel's star moment may not ever actually arrive. Still, the Bills don't sound like a team that believes all is lost if Tuel takes the field.

It was on NFL Total Access tonight...step away from the cliff everyone. EJ will be under center in Week 1.

I was kinda hoping Tuel started in Week 1 so he could make some history as the first UDFA rookie to start on Opening Day. It would be pretty fitting for it to happen with the Bills during this era.

He better be ready to put up 42 or more week one. Our defense is gonna suck.

Marrone said that Tuel is the starter until EJ is ready, EJ was already doing some work on the practice field yesterday. He'll probably need to be practicing near full by the beginning of next week. I can't see him not being ready in 13 days.

Marone will wait till the last possible second to announce the starter and make the Pats study a bunch of Washington State and FSU tape in the mean time.

I want EJ to start however it makes me nervous. He's a rookie that everyone is looking to be the franchise and he would be starting with less than a game of NFL experience. It seems like he is mature and can handle these situations, but i hope he isnt put into the fire too early with all these high expectations.

What did he have done? I had ACL reconstruction and my scar is only about an inch and a half.

EJ's starting don't worry about it.

Don't rush him back; just start Tuel. With Gilmore out, Brady's going to hang 40 on them anyway, so what's the point of taking a chance on his knee?

If they are still not 100% sure he can go a week from now, then he shouldn't be playing.
