CJ leaving Bills indefinitely to be with family in Florida

    When it rains...it pours:
Bills running back C.J. Spiller has left Buffalo and will be in Florida indefinitely to be with his family following the suicide of his step-grandfather, Hubert Allen, Jr.
Allen killed himself on Saturday and allegedly shot and killed two other two men and injured two more men, in a shooting that took place in Union County, Fla.
Allen had been married to Spiller's maternal grandmother until she passed away when Spiller was in eighth grade, according to the Buffalo News.
Spiller played in Buffalo's 30-7 preseason loss to the Redskins on Saturday, the day of the shooting.
"I talked to him when we landed from the Washington game," coach Doug Marrone said. "I obviously excused him to be able to go back and handle obviously what is a personal situation. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims as well as C.J. and his family in this situation."

Big deal. He shouldn't play this week anyway since the risk of injury isn't worth it. It isn't like he needs to get ready to play, he has been here all camp. He will return to prepare for the opener.

Pretty crappy situation for his family and I feel for them, but there is no concern for CJ

i fully have my negative nancy hat firmly on my head, but i just don't see how this extends past this week. i've never been in a situation quite like his, but at some point, he's going to want to come play football to get his mind off of things.

i'm pretty sure he'll be ready to go on week 1.

Sunday works & should hopefully give him some time to get his affairs in order.
