Pats cut Mesko and Cunningham... But they're great at drafting.

The New England Patriots moved safety Adrian Wilson to injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Saturday. The team also made 13 cuts and officially decided to keep Rob Gronkowski on the active roster.

    Cunningham- 2nd rounder
    Mesko- 5th rounder

And I just read the Panthers have only one pick left on the roster from the 2011 draft.............Cam Newton.

And some people say Nix was not good at drafting LOL.

And in COMPLETELY unrelated news, Buffalo is dumpster diving for cornerbacks and quarterbacks on the eve of the season because Nix's DB picks nearly all busted and he took one QB in 3 seasons - in the 7th.

Is that roster issues that weren't adequately addressed or drafting poorly? I realize they are related but IMO the Bills have drafted way better than the Pats over the past 4-5 years.

Gilmore is the only DB that Nix drafted high & he looks pretty damn good.

And EJ was drafted by NIX in the FIRST RD, not the 7th.

Teams with good QB's draft well. Teams that don't have a QB don't draft well.

Yes Buddy Nix should be given all the credit for this current team.

When we go 3-13, the homers will turn on the coaching staff.

Perhaps the NFL can create a new trophy for that.

If my addition is correct, NE has something like 125 victories over that span.

Gilmore's injury makes him a bust after being touted as a shut down guy coming in to the season? Weird. Byrd is a bust? Strange... thought he wanted top safety money. Aaron Williams looks at home in the safety position... Nah, bust and fodder. EJ Manuel wasn't drafted in the first round, either. Glenn, Hairston, Bradham, Carrington, Dareus... none of them are starting material. Moats, Troup, Easley, Graham, Searcy, Brooks... no business being on an NFL roster let alone a role player.

Glad we got rid of all those busts and losers.
                    Bye Bye Brady...

It's a misconception that top tiers who cut rookies are bad at drafting. Top teams have less competition for spots and more depth. It's harder for rookies to make squads and stick for multiple years. They are also able to target drafts towards certain positions or sides of the ball where they feel like they can get better.

The Panthers are hardly a top team. They drafted higher than the Bills when Cam was drafted & had just fired their HC.

And while the Pats* do have Brady, they are VERY weak & soft in their defensive secondary. They also have not drafted a GOOD WR in forever.

A GOOD DB or WR would have no problem making the Pats* team.

Barring further injuries, if the Bills go 3-13, hell yeah I will blame it on the Coaching.

the pats are horrible at drafting, been saying that for years... they have brady and bellicheat, that's why theyre so good. but every damn year, on the draft shows, you hear idiots like mayock and berman think it's so amazing how the pats trade 10 million times on draft day... wtf
