Should Bills take flyer on Tim Tebow?

    http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bill...r-on-tim-tebow

Earlier Saturday, we mentioned quarterback as one position where the Buffalo Bills may look for help on the waiver wire this weekend.

Now, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that the New England Patriots have waived quarterback Tim Tebow.

The Bills have the eighth-highest waiver priority, and it's unlikely the 30 other NFL teams -- almost all of whom have more settled quarterback situations than the Bills -- would claim Tebow. So if they wanted to, the Bills could easily bring the 2010 first-round draft pick to Orchard Park.

For Buffalo, the main question they would ask is if Tebow is an upgrade over Thad Lewis, who was acquired in a trade last Sunday and could start the season as the Bills' third quarterback. Here's a side-by-side look at Lewis' and Tebow's stats this preseason:

The Bills will have until noon Sunday to place a waiver claim on Tebow.

    No

    that’s the thing
    shut up and deal

Shut up... it's obvious the guy can't play. How many teams need to "take a flyer on him" before everyone realizes he sucks?

Tebow can go have fun in the CFL.

        Or become an ordained minister.

        His NFL career is over.

He's too slow to be a wildcat threat but not too slow to be a HB or TE? That doesn't make sense.

He was supposed to be a read-option QB, but these days, I'd take Thaddeus Young over him as a backup in that role.

Thaddeus Young the NBA player? Yeah, I probably would take him and Thad Lewis over Tebow.

Because his fanbase is more pumped up than others and they won't shut up.

Well, now that the Pats have released him they might be quiet.

When I heard the news, I thought to myself "Apparently, God works in mysterious ways." Maybe it's His way of telling Tim..."DUDE, FIND A NEW LINE OF WORK. EVEN I, THE ALMIGHTY, THINK YOU STINK AS A QB."
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.

I said I was ok with him at the beginning of preseason and I still am. Moreso than Leinart or Kolb anyway. No skin off my back either way though.
