EJ had 2 quarters of play prior to today so you can't expect much. He took a couple shots too.
the loss sucks, but I am not too upset. I like how they played except for the penalties.

And I like it.
The offense just shot itself in the foot today, numerous times.
2 fumbles lost;
a number of drops (I counted 4) that would have been big gains/or at least 1st downs;
several 1st downs taken away by penalties.
They aren't good enough yet to overcome mistakes like that.

Because people like you think we need to throw the ball 15 yards down the field every play. Watch other NFL games most teams dont do that. Brady throws short little slants all the time as a prime example. You cant consistently throw the ball 20 yards in the air. If you have a QB that can make the throws and if you need proof he can just look at the Stevie Throw you have what you need. You need a good mix of short and intermediate passes with a long one thrown in every so often not just 20 yards, 20 yards, 20 yards doesnt work like that in the NFLOriginally posted by Mr. Pink View PostComment

The 3rd quarter TD drive was kept alive by good 3rd down passes and that TD to Stevie was not something we ever saw Edwards or Holcomb EVER do, and Fitz never took chances like that either. I thought that was an exciting game and everyone thought it was going to be a laugher. If you can't take away a single positive from this game, I fear for your longevity.Comment

much better than i expected for his first game. the td to stevie was just plain sick, thats a prime big ass time throw right there. great spin move out of a sure sack. looked mentally sluggish at times, but much less than you would think for a rooks first
the offense was just the worst offender on a mistake prone team. all three units had way too many screwups. didnt look as bad as it was due to three extremely timely and even more lucky gifts from the cheaters, but this was a mistake filled performance thats for damn sure. qb was the least of our worries today, which in and of itself is impressiveOne set of rules for all in the beloved communityComment
