    To The Homers

There is a difference between the 'experiencing self' & the 'remembering self'

During the first quarter, many of the homers on this board were either MIA or extremely Negative. Ironically, some of the realists were a bit more positive in that same 1st quarter.

A few good plays, lucky breaks, and a loss in the last 5min of the game to a depleted Pats team, and the Homers are going to the other extreme end of the spectrum.

    Here is the reality:

Overall Bills played a sloppy game

    Offense
    - Bills had two good offensive drives
    - Bills were good on 1st & 2nd down but couldn't convert 3rd
    - Dink sink offense
    - Couldn't run with consistency
    - No big plays (20yrs plus)
    - Too many mistakes: drops/penalties

    Defense
    - A few great stops & turnovers
    - couldn't stop the run
    - mixed pass rush
    - secondary was ok
    - love the aggressive style

    Players
Spiller: no show & big fumble. Reminded me of his rookie campaign.
WR: Overall subpar performance. Some drops and a few great plays on the TDs.
EJ: mixed game. Two good drives and a few great plays. Didn't impose his will on the game and on the other hand didn't have any turnovers.

there is cause for concern but there are also reasons to be encouraged.

Not sure what threads you're reading because I'd say 80% of the board is doom and gloom today. I wouldnt exactly say people are jumping for joy.

very typical game for a team with new everything. the only good news really is that the one piece of the team you wouldnt describe as 'bumbling' would be the qb

going into it the only things i wanted was 1) ej to look decent or better, and b) no major injuries. on that front they did very well. otherwise, it was pretty much craptastic

Would have been nice to see EJ move the chains on a scramble w the game on the line.

I am WATCHING & Experiencing the game when it happens. Anyone that wants to post during that time, it is their choice, but it is NOT my choice.
