if this is true these new rules go along of how the new 3rds were made and why they look so small and the Sabres didn't screw them up afterall! sounds like the NHL is mandating a dress code for the players. It also sounds like the NHL is targeting Ovenchicken 16622he likes to wear a big jersey tucked in the back and oversized equipment with these new rules it sounds like the jerseys are going to be tight and come down to only the players waist when the players put their equipment in them so they can't be tucked in which is the way they are supposed to be... hockey jerseys are not supposed to be tucked in!

Well, Wayne Gretzky would have a LOT of trouble with these rules if he was playing in the NHL...

Those days are over, though. The NHL plans to enforce equipment rules more stringently this season. The main goal is to prevent exposed skin along the arms and legs, but as noted by the CBC's Elliotte Friedman (http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hockey/opinion/2013/09/30-thoughts-nhl-tightens-collar-on-uniform-rules.html), the league's logic is that if it enforces one uniform-related rule, it has to enforce them all. So, goodbye jersey tucks.
"They think it can be dangerous for somebody. I think it's kind of stupid," Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin told the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capitals-insider/wp/2013/09/15/alex-ovechkin-on-nhls-jersey-tuck-rule-we-individuals-its-stupid/). "If I'm going to put jersey normally, I'm going to skate and it (flies) back."
