Byrd asked for #1 pay at his position, doesn't get it & then doesn't even work for his pay. Is this rubbing anyone else the wrong way looking at the big picture ?? What if we paid this guy the money he wanted & then he didn't play because of his situation, is this even fair for the team ? What a joke this guy is, a complete failure.
Who shows up for work to collect their pay, then doesn't work ?

Under the system he gets paid. If the Bills didn't want to pay him, they could have removed the franchise tag. The answer to your title is : a lot of professional athletes-either due to injury, inactivation or a coach's in game decision.

Hey, I'm the best free safety in football. OK, here's 7 million dollars. Darn, my feet hurt so much I can't even walk, let alone play football. How does he get away with this ****?Lou Saban: You can get it done, you can get it done. And what’s more, you’ve gotta get it done.

The beauty of plantar fasciitis is that it is extremely painful, makes playing or even practicing with it impossible, and there's no way to prove that somebody has it or doesn't. I thought it was weird how he came around so quick to accept the offer and come back and play. Turns out it was just a BS way to get still paid for the year while effectively still holding out.

**** Byrd. Dump his ass ASAP, for anything. Get a seventh-rounder and a half-bottle of Gatorade for him, and let him rot in Jacksonville or Oakland.YardRat Wall of Fame

I really dont want Byrd on this team even next year. Searcy, A Will, Leonard, and D Will all seem to want to be here and are playing very good. I know there was a couple deep passes, but Rogers is way to slow to guard anyone. And Byrd is getting a really really good deal for a safety just by being franchised, hes aiming for just 1-2 more than what hes getting now, and if someone can fake an injury (which this is what he obviously is doing) just for that much while already getting like triple what he got before, than thats BS.Not here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinions
