So Coaching is a big part, too - see Pettine

It's not perfect because they couldn't prevent Brady from that final drive last Sunday.

But you see the difference. Yes we added Kiko. But we didn't have Gilmore. Virtually the same personnel and looks like two complete different defensive squad.

It'll be ineresting to see the next week game. Same defense, no secret to hide, all against rookie QBs.

The Jets on paper look to be slightly more talented than the Bills on D. Just hate to see Rex runs his mouth.

This is what I have been saying Op.

Coaching DOES make a HUGE difference.

I hope the jets fire Rex after a loss to us.

Jarius Byrd reportedly told WGR's Joe that whatever Pettine said about Brady tendencies and moves happened on game day. And he's impressed.

2 home games so far. No noise in their favor.

i said at beginning of season that pettine had a terrible set of circumstances with the injuries and lack of talent in the secondary, yet he has them competing. i said i'd give him credit for that. hopefully he isn't an early name into the circle of people to become coaches.

He's obviously ambitious, but I get the feeling that he would also like to actually be with a team for long enough that his 'vision' can be realised fully, which I would say would be after about 3 years. I'm sure he will get a fair bit of interest, but he just might want to give us another year or two, to see if we can turn this group into perpetual contenders. It must also be a pleasant change to not have to deal with so many divisive characters, as there have been in the Jest locker room.

money talks though. a chance to be able to put your vision in for 3 years without interruption is a huge boon. coordinators get sacrificed all the time so the HC can stay on another year or two.

It's stability and prestige with a better paycheck.

I think the one play that defines the Pettine's philosophies is the fact that he blitzed on the last play of this past weeks game. He didn't even let Cam attempt the hail mary, which I was terrified of. I love it.

Would love to have Byrd back with his head on straight and Gilmore healthy.

Think we might have something pretty cool if we did.

                            one more linebacker... One more.
