It depends on personality. To me, pointing out mistakes first is important and he did before he mentioned everything else.

      Gone are the days of:

WADE PHILLIPS: "I'm not sure who our punt catcher is this week."

GREGG WILLIAMS: "Sam Coward will play where I tell Sam Cowart to play!"

MIKE MULARKEY: "Because the double reverse halfback option flea flicker always worked when my college team was on on their own one yard line..."

DICK JAURON: "Well, I love this game....and I love these guys....and I love Mr. Wilson..."

CHAN GAILEY: ""They gotyta do better, they know that!"

      Ugh!

Gotta to love that we have guys like Kyle and Fred to lead these young kids.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
        It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Best quote from this. "They're going to make a big deal about this out there. But this is just one win."

Damn they pulled the video. I really wanted to see it.

All he said was, "I'm not sure where George Gipp is right now...but I bet he doesn't smell too good"

I also liked just about the last thing he said, which was something along the lines of 'enjoy this evening, but don't forget to watch each others backs'.
