Mario SHOULD have had 5.5, that one play where Cam just escaped his grasp - very few players in the NFL could have wriggled out of that one.

I rewatched the game and think Mario left at least two more on the field.

He could have had more but he couldn't through the holding on a couple of plays. Later in the game, they started blocking him with 3

The most important thing is that we aren't talking garbage time sacks like last year.

These were 3rd down and gamechanging plays. He was great against the run as well.

The sacks he had last year were almost unanimously meaningless and I think we were all reasonably unhappy.

Hopefully this is the start of a new Mario and teams have to gameplan for him again. He was devastating out there.

Being over looked is the game by Kiko Alonso, he had 9 solo stops, a sack, an interception and a pass defensed, pretty impressive from our rookie LB. Through 2 games, Alonso has 14 solo stops, 5 assist, 1 sack, 1 int. 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 1 pass defensed.
