When do I start worrying about EJ's inaccuracy?

I know it's only 3 games but wow. His long ball is terrible. Can that be coached?

Re: When do I start worrying about EJ's inaccuracy?

I don't want to overreact because he's still a rookie in his third game but I don't think I've ever seen someone struggle with accuracy as much as he has churn out a successful career.

Gut feeling is that we'll be looking for another QB in a few years.

Re: When do I start worrying about EJ's inaccuracy?

There were a few instances even on completions that he looked bad. The WRs had room to run with an accurate pass but had to jump and dive for the ball today which negated any type of RAC.

Jamesis Winston looks like a stud for FSU............proved that EJ was the problem at FSU.

Game following his first win where he threw the winning TD pass. First road start..perhaps some nerves. I wouldn't jump off that cliff yet.

"At least he has a nice touch on the short passes"

            Said no one.

            Ever.

Realize that but he hasn't come close to hitting a long pass yet. He made a couple nice throws. The TD and the 2 point play were pretty. We need him for more than 1 drive a game.

Someone said area code accuracy somewhere, and it's shown all season.

He was sacked eight times today. No quarterback is going to be comfortable in the pocket when that happens

                      Guys, he's a rookie.

We all knew this was going to happen.

There are going to be highs like last week and lows like this week.

No one is arguing that. As a whole, though, he's looked wildly inaccurate and is something to be concerned about.

I think wildly inaccurate is a bit of a stretch.

He was bad today, no doubt, but we need some perspective.

This was his first road game, against a division rival, and he was sacked 8 times.

If EJ isn't the answer don't wait 3 years to figure it out.

                            Draft another one next year.

Re: When do I start worrying about EJ's inaccuracy?

EJ looked tough, but was anyone open? What happened to out "speed" at receiver. What happened to our young upcoming offensive coordinator that doesn't call a screen play after 20 blitzes. Who runs the same running play that goes no where back to back. That appears to have 8-10 plays in his arsenal. I've never seen such an unimaginative offensive game plan. The last 3 weeks have been the same. Hacketts a bust.
That being said, had we signed our two homegrown stud free agents in Levitre and Byrd, we wouldn't be here, and we'd still have cap room to do, what, maybe sign someone else that can help them.
