    Sabres waive Sulzer

WGRZ just reported that defenceman Alexander Sulzer has been waived by the Sabres, he's got 24 hours if a team doesn't claim him he goes to Rochester.

At times last year, I thought Sulzer was our best D-man. A bit surprised.

He doesn't offer much on O and maybe our new coach wants more O from the point.

He could just be waived and might stay here.

And McBain is not going to play ahead of Tallinder

Sulzer played 17 games for the Sabres last year before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Buffalo re-signed the 29-year-old to a one-year, $725,000 contract. If he clears waivers, Sulzer and his complete salary will patrol the blue line in Rochester. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/...4A567930F2D59D

very minor. He was no better than any of our defensemen. I seriously don't see what many saw in him. He was a serviceable number 6 or 7 Dman.

easy to be the best defensemen when the others were all playing like crap-ola.

                    Re: Sabres waive Sulzer

Regier just said that the decision to send Sulzer to Rochester is because of Ristolainen "he edged Sulzer out he just was better at training camp and in preseason games" also "Regier had talked to Sabres doctors and they didn't believe that Sulzer's Knee is 100%".
