So to all those saying "The Front Office should have had a veteran in place just in case" - which one of these guys should the Front Office have had signed?
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"

"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

          QB Frenzy

What a crazy week for QB's.

First you have the Freeman fiasco. He gets benched for Glennon, misses a meeting, does drugs and gets cut. Now he's looking for a team.
Then you have Fitzy taking over in Tenn for Locker who's out a few weeks.
Both the Bills and Browns lose there starters, and now are competing to sign FA's.
John Skelton just signed with San Francisco - potentially making Colt McCoy available.

Browns have said they have no interest in Freeman, and are scheduling a meeting with Tyler Thigpen.

Here's a list of QB's looking for work:
          • David Carr
          • Tyler Thigpen
          • Byron Leftwich
          • Trent Edwards
          • Charlie Batch
          • Vince Young
          • Tim Tebow

          QB's on Practice Squads
          • Greg McElroy
          • Alex Tanney
          • Ryan Griffin
          • Tyler Wilson
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Wait, Tyler Wilson is on a practice squad and Tuel is on our active roster?

Not sure I understand that one.

I'd bring in Vince Young, Dennis Dixon or Freeman.

Although to be honest, almost any of those guys is an upgrade on Tuel.

                  Even JMarc.

I thought the same thing. Wouldn't that be ironic.

I don't know...this isn't Madden. Bringing in some guy that doesn't know the system might just be a terrible idea.

I don't think we saw everything that Tuel is going to offer last night. Hell...the kid was going to start against the Pats. Give him a chance. It is probably going to work out that way anyway, even if they do sign somebody, but there isn't anything too attractive on that list. I always like VY, but he couldn't learn the system last year, and I don't think a 10 prep is going to be enough for him. He is fun to watch play though, and I always felt that Carr had kind of a bad rap. He seemed like a tough player.

Freeman is the most logical choice. The most recent of them all in terms of being a starter, getting all the TC reps and is probably hungry to prove ppl wrong. Plus he has a big arm.

Batch is OLD. I would rather give Favre a call.
