    ten cent beer night could be the answer to the bills attendance problem. it would fill the stadium and nothing could possibly go wrong

        One of the greatest moments I've ever been part of as a sports fan was the day after we lost that superbowl. Thousands of people skipped work and school to welcome the Bills back and be part of the parade. Nobody blamed Norwood for the loss. The fans all realized there were several factors that played into it. The most glaring to me was Ingram's breaking 7 or 8 tackles on third and long. Hearing all these fans chanting "Scottie..." and cheering for him as he came to the mic was great. He was touched and got all choked up. The fans continued to cheer their support. It was a great time to be part of that community.

            Sadly, the deportment of society today bears small resemblance to that of 1990.

              2013: light his lawn on fire, harass his wife/kids in public, internet stalk/harass his kids on facebook/twitter, pay for freeway billboard with side-by-side pictures of his missed kick and him hanging his head in shame with "CUT NORWOOD!" in giant letters superimposed on a butcher knife.

                    That's just it. The insane reaction would be completely misguided. The defense is the bigger reason for that loss (Jeff Wright probably more than anybody), but fans today would immediately place 100% blame on the kicker and take all actions you mention.
