Maybe they learned from their past mistake. Our coaching staff still sees hope in this season and they need a backup QB ready to play on game day.

Jeff Tuel is not ready to be on an active NFL roster. EJ isn't expected back until around Week 11-12.

If Thad Lewis gets hurt during a game, we would once again be forced to put Tuel in to play.

All you say could be true. But I won't dismiss speculation about Manuel out of hand. Why would I? Speculation about things that might be drives all fan sites, in good measure.
