Re: Washington Bravehearts?
As racist and derogatory as the name Redskins is, American Indians approve of it by like 90%.
So I'm inclined to say who cares and let it stand.Disclaimer: The sentiment expressed in this post is strictly for entertainment purposes only.

While you are at it, stop the children from playing cowboys and Indians, because some ******* may be offended.
Personally, I never considered "Redskins" to be neither racist nor derogatory. Applied here, it's Washington's brand and they actually take a lot of pride in it.

Re: Washington Bravehearts?
We went through this with our name of our school Iroquois Chiefs and our mascot which was a Chief, the school board gave in before it could go to court and we were ready for the fight also! but the school board gave us excuses like they said that "they didn't want to be dragged through the mud" and "couldn't afford a lawsuit" so they caved and came to an agreement with the Native Americans that wanted the name and logo changed. We were still going to be named the Iroquois Chiefs but we had to change our logo it was changed to a big capital I with an indian headress on the right tail of the I which I still think to this day is the school is built on Iroquois sovereign land there is even a plaque which was placed to the west of the flagpole which is located in the center of the bus loop and the chief head our logo was actually blessed by an actual indian priest when the school first opened back in 1953.Last edited by DetDannyWilliams; 10-25-2013, 07:44 PM.

Renaming them the Reds is purely communist, but who is worried about offending those rat bastards? LOL.
The yellows may feel left out, as well.
The whole thing is giving me the blues.
