Here's a little bit of Scott and his daughters Amber's story.



Amber is a 2 year old little girl who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a cancer within her eyes, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She is currently fighting her battle against cancer. On October 25th, her right eye was removed because the tumor within it was too large to treat effectively and posed a large threat to her life. In order to save her left eye, Amber now has to undergo monthly trips to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC for an eye exam under anesthesia and intra-arterial chemotherapy, where the chemo is given directly to her eye. Those of you who know Scott or if you've been following Amber's story you know she's a tough little cookie. She's still wrecking the house, playing with her toys and doing all the things 2 years olds do. But her family needs our help, medical bills, travel expenses, work missed, things add up.

They're raffling off a Signed Mario Williams jersey to help pay for some of Amber's medical expenses. If you have $5 and you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

So I haven't posted on this site in over 3 years now... But I needed to stop in today to send out a great big thank you. There are several members here who I have stayed in contact with over the years and they know the situation my family is currently going through, and I've experienced a great deal of support from them as well. I am very appreciative of this.

I have to say though, that I did not expect to receive a card with $100 cash in it from Tackling Dummy! I see now after reading this that it's intention was for the jersey raffle. The raffle ended on Sunday, the 17th at 8pm, and the card came the following week while I was away in NYC for my daughter's treatment. Therefore it did not get entered into the contest. TD, if you'd like, I can do any of the following for you:

1. I'll return you money to you, since it didn't make it into the contest and that was its purpose.
2. I'll send you one of the t-shirts we are selling to raise funds for my daughter, you can see them here: http://ambersaspirations.webs.com/view
3. I'll purchase one of the Flash 88 shirts that The King designed and are being sold at 26shirts.com (http://26shirts.com) to raise money for Amber for you, and have it shipped to you.
