All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
OLB, G, S stand out as our biggest needs to me.
OLB, Anthony Barr, UCLA- Disruptive and explosive again in the game against Neb. 3 forced fumbles and 11 tackles...
LG, Cyrus Kouandjio, Ala- Quick feet, can block at the second level, get very good leverage with a low center of gravity. Can lock on and stay with his man. But,
I think we need CB and RT. No way we draft a RT that high and Glenn is a very good LT already.
Imagine a Gilmour on one side and a top CB on the other, Aaron Williams and Byrd manning the safety spots, and still have depth in McLovin Brooks Robey. Rodger could probably get better learning from his mistakes. Our D could be stout. Then again a good OLB with Kiko in the middle could be good too.
There was a play on during the Ohio game last Tuesday night on ESPN2 where he lined up outside, looped inside with the DE looping out. You almost lose him from the camera angle but all of a sudden you see an Ohio OL just explode out into the air and you see Mack run through and is a half step away from getting a sack before the QB got rid of it. I've never seen a OL just get wrecked like that. Announcers didn't catch it because it wasn't a sack, but my god it was amazing..........

I'm hoping for a starting OLB. As to me we still need better LB play as we are weak against the rush in terms of yards and love to add an additional pass rusher as it never hurts. Yet if Barr and Mack are off the board when we pick then I consider trading down and consider a TE like Eric Ebron.
If we get another Kiko type guy at LB, it'll make our defense better. How deep is draft going to be on the O-line front ? Another Cordy Glenn type guy in the second would be great.

Here is the Top 10 OT's per CBS;
Jake Matthews Texas A&M OT 2014 6-5 305 5.08 1
Cyrus Kouandjio Alabama OT 2014 6-5 310 5.12 2
Taylor Lewan Michigan OT 2014 6-7 315 5.09 3
Cameron Erving Florida State OT 2014 6-5 320 5.26 4
Antonio Richardson Tennessee OT 2014 6-6 327 5.16 5
Cedric Ogbuehi Texas A&M OT 2014 6-5 300 5.15 6
La'el Collins LSU OT 2014 6-5 315 5.43 7
Brandon Scherff Iowa OT 2014 6-5 315 5.09 8
Seantrel Henderson Miami (Fla.) OT 2014 6-7 345 5.06 9
James Hurst North Carolina OT 2014 6-6 305 5.28 10
The CBS mocks combined had 7 OT's going Round 1 but they only agreed that 3 of them go (Matthews, Lewan, Kouandjio), so maybe you see 4-5 go? Guys like Erving, Ogbuehi, Richardson, and Scherff are all borderline 1-2.
COMING SOON...
