View Full Version : Still no deal with Eagles for Temple to play at Linc

Last October, Temple athletic director Bill Bradshaw said he was confident that the school would reach an agreement with the Eagles to play its football games at the new Lincoln Financial Field this season.

Well, the home opener is Sept. 6 against Villanova. And there's still no deal in place.

Nobody from either party is saying much. All you keep hearing is that it's in the hands of the lawyers. According to sources, part of the holdup are tax issues involving the $15 million in state grants the Eagles received in Temple's name to go toward the cost of the stadium when the political process was playing itself out several years ago....
