Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports for the Sporting News that Buffalo Bills DE Marcus Jones is the early favorite to win the starting left defensive end job. Jones has the size and strength to take on blockers but must stay healthy and show he still has quickness.

I initially said make it a true daily double (i.e. I'll bet all the ZB's I have at the time the bet gets settled one way or another) but Wys wanted a fixed number so I bet 1000 because I only have 1100+.

BTW, what good are ZB's? I haven't paid much attention to them and didn't realize I had any until someone was told that they had some and that everyone gets some for posting.

We both got steals off of Marcus Jones.

BillsMan80 bet me $500 that he would get at least 12 sacks. That will never happen. If it does I'll gladly pay the $500 for that

I hope the real truth in this statment is the "win" part. I'm not comfortable giving anyone a job in that spot unless they win it in camp.

I think he will have to work real hard because there are much healthier players behind him that will give him a big fight for the starting job.

The reports on Jones' rehab have been sketchy at best. I get the feeling that he has not come along as quickly as expected, although I have read that he will be ready for camp. If he's healthy, he may at least give us a respectable year, while we develop some of the younger talent.

I know it's fun to speculate and guess, but this is one of those things we'll have to wait and see how training camp goes before knowing for sure who will win the spot.
