Bucky is basing this on rumors going around that Miller will either be traded or signed by the Blues in UFA.

i mean, its very possible. st louis just needs a goaltender and they are set. they have goaltending, just not consistent, top level goaltending.

If Im the Sabres Id insist Vladimir Tarasenko a RW who the Blues picked 16th overall in 2010 and is in his 2nd year with the Blues be included in the deal. And Id try hard to get there 2013 1st round pick

The Blues arent going to trade Tarasenko for a rental.

That would never happen......Tarasanko is an absolute stud.

And you would want their 1'st rounder on top of that......LMFAO!!!

The Sabres would have to move Miller and their #1 pick this year just to get the Blues GM to even answer the phone call...

no. buffalo could get st louis 1st, and its probably going to be 21 - 25. more likely scenario could involve the 14 and 15 2nd rounders. but i would go for a prospect over a pick, if possible. maybe jordan binnington? and a second?

                  obviously, im spit balling here.

                          Re: OH Bucky Gleason

i trust if miller feels like the voice of the team is nolan and he agrees with nolan's way of doing business, he might stick around the following season.

strategically important people at company's get the scoop ahead of the plan. They are told their options and what the company would like and how they plan to use them. and if the money is agreeable, the person sticks around. if the plan sucks and the money isn't there, they part ways.

i think with darcy, miller just felt like a normal guy stuck in the looney bin and that he'd gladly flee the second he had his chance.

the firing was a game changer for how the sabres view miller. he might not be good for very much longer, but pay him a 3-4 year deal higher than he'd expect or at the same level of a long term deal, and he'll be here. giving the sabres time to develop a goalie behind him. enroth isn't anything but a stop gap at this point and the guys beneath him aren't ready to do heavy lifting.

if you keep miller (which im all for) then either enroth or hackett will have to get moved. and honestly, hacketts ceiling is very intriguing. enroth certainly can play the NHL game, but i dont think he can at a high level for long stretches. and hackett is younger.

either way, draft a goalie high. maybe get an elite netminder back in the system.

                            should have drafted fucale >:|

we already have hackett and Markov (sp?) in the system. it's going to take time to see where they are. hacket is ready to play 2 games a month or less to break in.

you move enroth if conversations sound good with miller. Enroth is rick james. good when he's on, miserable when he isn't.

remember that carolina two or three years ago when the sabres got hot to make the playoffs. he had his mask removed and still came up with a huge save. then i think mccormick killed the guy who did it.

on the flip side he can just be so unfocused to the point that nolan called him out on it.
