Ravens were planning to develop him to play G (I'm not sure which side). I guess the Bills jumped the gun a bit, putting him on 53

To claim him off another teams PS, you have to put him on the 53.

yep

“They had him at tackle, but we’re moving him inside to play guard,” said head coach Doug Marrone.

Ralph is so cheap he won't even sign guys with full first names to save ink on the contract. When he goes and orders "Williams" nameplates in bulk for a discount.

Sometimes Marrone is full of it - I have Syrycuse friends who told me it was a battle to get anything out of him in press conferences. Not quite Belichick but he gave you as little useful info as he can.

Well then, this is a step in the right direction, we obviously need to draft a guy whose first name is random letter of the Alphabet and J and whose last name is Williams. Make it happen Russ!

Bills have between now and end of the season to see if he can develop into a LG for next year. If he isn't good enough to start, maybe depth. It's a project.

The Bills love their players with nicknames that end in J and players with the last name Williams. If they can't decide between a player then that's the tiebreakers.

Now all we need is someone with a nickname also with the last name Williams. I'm surprised they don't try and get LB DJ Williams and then we would be all set.

Bonus tidbit...all of the XJ's are on offense, all of the Williams on defense.

So, really, signing somebody like DJ Williams would just completely **** up the roster feng shui.

Well, I'm an AJ, so I'm thrilled with the trend of signing players whose middle names begin with "J." I put his link on the other thread on the signing, but if you don't want to go there, it's a nice little youtube piece. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5ysRCpDbvc
