apparently, arenas do go into the worth. not added to, but leases/owning an arena helps team value.

Makes sense: teams that own their arena don't have to pay a lease. It's like owning your home outright versus having to pay rent: the person who owns their home has more assets and lower expenses.

plus you get the ancillary fees on concerts, etc. for MSG, they are hosting something everyday, and there is a theater connected to the back that generates income.

it's a well oiled machine. too bad their teams suck most of the time. imagine if they had the patriot touch of having games and outcomes fixed so that the buzz was higher. Imagine what that'd do for the other teams under a revenue sharing program. i guess some sports still believe in letting the talent do most of the talking.

Plus those top 10 teams are not located in Buffalo.

Can you imagine if Buffalo did not already have the Sabres and Bills whether the City of Buffalo would even be in the discussion for relocating teams now to the city?

seems like a short 6 years ago when the sabres were rating the number 1 professional sports franchise in north america.

                  those were the days.
