Time to Doug Flutie on the Wall

Doug Flutie deserves to be put on the wall at RWS. He came out of nowhere to help pull the team into the playoffs. Secondly, it looked like the team might move, but his play stimulated interest in the team within the region and nation-wide. Finally, he characterized what it meant to be a Buffalo Bill...hardworking and coming on against the odds.

    Put him on the wall.

No. Never. It would be a disgrace to put him up there.

          Wow.

Lou Saban won 2 championships for the Bills and was the greatest coach in franchise history, and he's not on the wall.

But let's put a guy who played 39 games for the Bills up there.

          OK.

What is with people the verb in their topic titles?

Anyway, I like Flutie, but no. He's being romanticized because he was the last QB to get us to the playoffs and he was fun to watch, but come on now.

There are a lot of deserving people, like Eric Moulds, Joe Cribbs, and Stew Barber.

But I would put Dennis Shaw up there before Doug Flutie...

Flutie and the offense averaged under 10 points a game his last year here, we won in spite of Flutie, not because of him. Our defense was dominant and accounted for the rest of the points.

If I had a vote, (seriously) my next electee would be Bob Chandler.....perhaps Frank Lewis or Jerry Butler after that.

Screwing Fluite over against Tennessee cost us the Super Bowl and has lead us to the Curse of Flutie ever since.

                              Yes, I loved Lou.

I also hated him for bailing twice.

Had he been at the helm, we may have made it to SB I.
