    I think their bench stinks.

I think it is more about poor Coaching myself.

Crossman was the Special teams Coach for the Lions before Marrone poached him.

Lions fans were HAPPY to see him go.

When's the last time a team plucked a BUF practice teamer, let alone the detritus they cut after preseason?

With Crossman as Coach, they could have 11 Steve Taskers & special teams still would not be good.

The Bills do seem to do better covering on special teams than returning.

            It's all the coaching.

Both but the coaching makes it worse than it is. Crossman is hot garbage.

They certainly could use better depth in spots...Crossman is vanilla, at best...ST's really comes down to execution.

I heard an interesting point raised by an NFL announcer that I hadn't considered. A lot of times, teams will roll out their rookies as a special teamers. Which makes sense, they are the most expendable. But often, even late round rookies were the best players on their college teams and so they didn't play special teams in college, and they are learning it on the job. Losing Brad Smith for the year likely hurt that to some degree.
