If Marrone and Hackett hitch their wagon to EJ their future will be headed in the same direction... Out the door! Marrone has shown in the past it's all about results, he's only loyal to success. For this reason I think if a game changer is on the board at QB when they pick or a quality FA is available he will pull the trigger. He knows as a new HC you've got 2-3 years to improve or your out..no questions, no excuses! EJ has proven he's slow to make reads and late on the windows. He can sit on the bench and learn, it's all about wins looking for a new QB in '14

The coach doesn't make the draft picks and that relies on the GM. They can give their input over certain players but it ultimately falls on the GM. He could want a new QB or keep Manuel all he wants but if Doug Whaley feels different then it doesn't matter.

The term "fools gold" is now about as overused and tired on this board as "mediocrity" has been. Can we please vary our vocabulary and phrase usage a little instead of just recycling the same ones other people use when they try to sound smart/cool?
