Season end presser, Stevie back, Offer for Byrd, Hilliard fired

    Stevie to be back.

Whaley and Marrone- EJ is the starter next year

Marrone slipped and talked about upgrading the OL

We will make an offer to Byrd. Haven't said no to the tag again. Whaley- We're in the business in collecting the best athletes

    Ike Hilliard fired

    Re: Season end presser

    Ike Hilliard let go.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Sounds like Crossman is safe... Marrone blaming roster

Reiterating upgrading the ST core... Called Easley a stud basically in that area

Then wouldn't say Crossman is safe when pressed

Of course it's not his buddies fault.

Awful choice. Marrone will regret that one. ST was DIRECTLY responsible for two losses and I would say even three.

Hilliard was let go for a difference of philosophy.

He didn't say Crossman is safe, there's still some hope. When asked about the coaching staff he said they're evaluating & then said Hilliard is already gone.

Marrone on the OL- #2 in rushing means we're doing something right. Sacks home vs. away.

Add competition. Likes youth and wants to develop them... Referred to Unga, McClain, and Asper

Marrone wants to continue to use CJ more. Injury mattered.

                            Excited to have Hughes.

Marrone- thought Chandler had a good year. Have players in place to have production at TE.
