    LBs coach Driesbach fired

Another coach has been fired. Maybe there's still a chance the ST's coach will be fired.

strikes me as odd as the LB's played well for the most part. since there isn't a lot more to go on, i won't make a judgement. but i find it odd that a close call on LB's can get a guy fired, but fairly consistent crap ST play isn't worth firing yet.

More likely they saw someone better out there available (or new Marrone/Pettine's buddy available), and needs to clear space ...

Our LB's sucked. Easily the weakest part of our defense. They played behind a dominant line and in front of an excellent secondary. The only one that could consistently make plays was Kiko. His biggest weakness was gap assignment, something that I imagine the LB coach is responsible for.

The talent is their for this to be a top 5 D. Even with the holes ST's and the offense put them in, it should have been at least above average(like 14th). Overall I'd say the D under-performed, and the LBs were the worst unit.

Based on the total defense's health, the LB's sucked.

Dominant line ??? they were GASHED repeatedly by any RB with 2 legs.

Need a big DT next to Dareus and 2 ILB with size.

Mike Smith a former player for Pettine in Baltimore was also an OLB coach for the Jets on 2012 was co-defensive coordinator for Texas Tech this year and their D wasn't great so maybe we're opening up a spot for him. Yet it's all speculation on my behalf.

Dreisbach supposedly focused on coaching ILB, the Bills had another LB coach in Jim O'Neil. They probably don't replace Dreisbach, since O'Neil can be coach to all the LB.

Wanny did a much better job as Special Teams coach in Tampa than Crossman did in Buffalo (To my surprise).

How much of it is Crossman's fault though, I'm sure the players on coverage knew they had lane assignments, they failed to keep them, Crossman can't help when the punter continues to hit 30 yd. punts and the return teams draw a flag ever other return, as it seemed. I have no problem if they bring in another ST coach, but I lay more blame on the ST players than the coach. Special Teams is not rocket science, it's not a unit who's design is much different than every other team in the league.
